Jenny Burns

CFO

Jenny Burns leads Murphy’s finance and accounting team with over 25 years of experience in the transportation industry, and 15 of those in senior management.

She works closely with every business function to make sense of financial data – creating useful, actionable plans that help our teams plan for growth and make better-informed decisions. Jenny has built and led accounting teams, guided staff in their development, and is a key contributor in helping Murphy thrive.

A Minnesota native, Jenny earned her accounting degree from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and her MBA from the University of St. Thomas (Minnesota). In 2023, Jenny was recognized as one of the Top Women in Finance by Finance & Commerce.
